“Again” by The Belair Lip Bombs is a fresh new take on the indie rock we all know and love. I’ve always been a fan of Aussie rock. Groups like 5 Seconds of Summer, Spacey Jane, and Ocean Alley always bring a vibrant edge to the global music scene. The Belair Lip Bombs are no exception.
Released on Halloween, “Again” has a very raw feeling; Full sound, crisp guitar, lots of layering, and vocals that I cannot get out of my head! Each song is different from the last, with the whole album coming together painted as a colorful masterpiece. My personal favorites from the album are “Don’t Let Them Tell You (It’s Fair)”, “Hey You”, and “Another World”. All 3 feel like going on a late night drive with your favorite people, whoever that may be for you.
I got the privilege to see this band open for Spacey Jane in September without hearing any of their music beforehand. The energy they brought was absolutely contagious, and I am so glad I dove further into this band after seeing their performance. Can’t wait to see them again at Kilby Court this March!
